Profile ...

SallySally McIlroy founded the business as Sallyforth Interiors in 2001 having retrained at KLC School of Design in London, after a successful career in teaching.
The impetus was buying a derelict property that needed complete renovation but finding no-one to pin point how to go about the design and decoration process independently. There were plenty of businesses available to take the task on - and classroom courses to attend - but no design guidance available ‘in situ’, hence the evolution of House Tutor
Sally has worked on residential and commercial projects, written for regional and national magazines and holds a Daily Telegraph trailblazing award for the business. She has a postgraduate certificate in education with distinction, and over the last five years has headed a small team of designers many of whom have gone on to set-up on their own.
She continues to think more laterally about what clients want... hence the introduction of the short semi-professional taught course, and more recently the new virtual home improvement service with before and after photographs and plans.
